Ultra Music Festival (often abbreviated as UMF) is an annual outdoor electronic music festival that takes place during March in Miami, Florida, United States.[1] The festival was founded in 1999 by Russell Faibisch and Alex Omes and is named after the 1997 Depeche Mode album, Ultra.
It was first held on Miami Beach, but besides a tenure at Bicentennial Park, and briefly being held at Virginia Key in 2019, it has primarily been held at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami. It was a one-day festival from 1998 to 2006.
Just imagine... a dazzling new Tomorrowland location has been crafted over the past few months. It is a place far away from anyone, a place that you would normally never be able to visit... However, this magical place is set to open its door to pioneers from all corners of the globe, for just one weekend only...
Tomorrowland 2020 is a place that allows you to celebrate intensely, where you can share your emotions and unite with People of Tomorrow from all around the world. Music and entertainment lie at its heart, brought to you by none less than the world’s finest artists.
A music festival is a community event oriented towards live performances of singing and instrument playing that is often presented with a theme such as musical genre (e.g., blues, folk, jazz, classical music), nationality, locality of musicians, or holiday.
They are commonly held outdoors, with tents or roofed temporary stages for the performers. Often music festivals host other attractions such as food and merchandise vending, dance, crafts, performance art, and social or cultural activities. At music festivals associated with charitable causes, there may be information about social or political issues. Many festivals are annual, or repeat at some other interval. Some, including many rock festivals, are held only once.
